Baker’s Cyst Treatment at Wake Sports Medicine
At Wake Nonsurgical Ortho & Sports Medicine, we provide Baker’s cyst treatment to our patients. A Baker’s cyst is a swelling filled with synovial fluid which forms behind your knee. Synovial fluid is the lubricating fluid that is usually found inside the knee joint, but if the knee swells due to arthritis or a cartilage tear or injury, the fluid can seep into the fluid sac behind the knee and cause it to bulge and expand.
When is Baker’s Cyst Treatment Necessary?
Common symptoms include:
- Swelling behind the knee
- Pain behind the knee
- Tightness in the back of the knee
